Frank Britton (he/him/his) is a Helen Hayes Award-winning actor (The 2018 Robert Prosky Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play—Helen Production for “Jesus Hopped The ‘A’ Train” with 1st Stage) and instructor who has been a part of the Washington DC / DMV professional theatre scene for the past 19 years. A native of DC and raised in both DC and Hyattsvillle, MD, he began his trading in a three-month weekend class at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, then almost immediately after began training in The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts’ two-year conservatory program, from which he graduated in 2001. He has appeared on professional stages all over the Potomac/DMV region, as well as around the country, from NYC (LaMaMa ETC) to Richmond, VA (Firehouse Theatre), Williamsburg, VA (Virginia Shakespeare Festival) to Cincinnati (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park) to Milwaukee (Milwaukee Repertory Theater).

Having had the privilege to appear in many theatrical styles ranging from contemporary, classical, devised, children’s, avant-garde, site-specific, and musical theatre in addition to originating roles in world premiere plays and musicals, Frank is continuing to expand and enrich himself, his craft, and his expertise as a forever student in the world of theatre.
