Held annually in September, Theatre Week kicks off the launch of the theatre season in the Washington, DC-area. With dozens of participating theatres and productions, it is a celebration of the theatre community, providing an opportunity to sample the diverse and vibrant work on a variety of stages across the region.
Taking Care Fund
Created in 2012, the Taking Care Fund helps colleagues in need – assisting area theatre professionals in times of unforeseen hardship. Support is provided in the form of an outright gift that never needs to be repaid. The Fund has been modified and expanded to meet the changing needs during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Helen Hayes Awards
The Helen Hayes Awards recognize outstanding achievement from theatres and theatre-makers across the Washington, DC-area. The annual Awards celebrate the artists and companies whose work makes our region a thriving, nationally recognized theatre community.
Theatre Summit
An annual convening of theatre-makers in the Washington, DC-area, the Theatre Summit fosters collaboration, conversation, and shared understanding. The themes of the Summit change each year, and we consistently hold space to discuss equity, anti-racism, and transformation.
Theatre Work
Creating and connecting opportunities for theatre-makers and institutions, strengthening the theatrical workforce, and fostering lasting collaboration, Theatre Work encompasses our mentorship program, job listings, and theatre-maker profiles database.
