Free Workshop with Washington Improv Theater

Theatre Washington is partnering with Washington Improv Theater to offer a free improv workshop facilitated by Artistic/Executive Director Mark Chalfant on Thursday, May 27 from 7-8pm via Zoom.

Is Improv as fun as it looks? Yes it is! And Washington Improv Theater’s free Improv For All workshops are a great way to get a taste. Washington Improv Theater is dedicated to sharing the ideas and spirit of improv with all of DC. WIT’s free introductory 1-hour workshops are high-fun, low-stress classes designed to show you how improvisers create spontaneous, off-the-cuff theater. Our enthusiastic and friendly instructors work to make sure everyone is able to participate in a playful and trusting atmosphere.

Everyone knows this by now, but human beings weren’t built for a year of quarantine. Interacting with others is a human need as basic as food and shelter, and right now every interaction can mean a lot. Washington Improv Theater is dedicating the month of May to CONNECTION — reconnecting with old friends, introducing yourself to new friends, and deepening existing friendships.
