Folger Theatre is at the intersection of all the great work of the Folger and shines as the preeminent showcase for the performing arts at this world class cultural institution.

Folger Theatre has staged more than 94 plays since being reactivated in 1991. Folger Theatre has been honored by the Helen Hayes Awards committee with 158 nominations and 30 awards for excellence in acting, direction, design, and production. They have received the Outstanding Resident Play Award for four productions in the past number of seasons: ""Measure for Measure,"" ""Hamlet,"" ""The Taming of the Shrew,"" and ""Sense and Sensibility."""
