Maret School seeks a dynamic Technical Theatre Director and Theatre Manager to join its performing arts faculty in the fall of 2022. Primary responsibilities include teaching technical theatre courses, building sets for productions, managing the during-school and after-school theatre schedule, and managing production design. This person is also responsible for ensuring that all related technical equipment is in excellent working condition and maintained through a regular maintenance review plan, as well as ensuring that all front and back of house spaces are maintained and regularly surveyed for upkeep and repair.

The ideal candidate will be an expert instructor of technical theatre, able to teach the many facets of stagecraft with an emphasis on safety. The ideal candidate will also know how to give students hands-on experience and organize technical crews for Maret concerts, productions, and events. A degree in technical theatre and/or a minimum of three years of successful teaching technical theatre are strongly preferred. The role includes serving as an advisor to six to eight students.
