- Delights in directing students
- Belief in the power of the ensemble
- Training in classical theatre or Commedia dell’Arte
- A graduate degree
- Very organized, communicative, experienced leading a satellite program
- Equally comfortable talking to elementary school students and their parents
- Experience mentoring staff — tasking them with appropriate challenges and increasing their leaderships skills alongside those of the students
