Performance Dates
Alliance for New Music-Theatre has ventured on its most ambitious collaboration for cultural diplomacy to date in a music-rich retelling of Euripides’ most famous anti-war play, Trojan Women, now set in modern day Afghanistan. The music-theatre adaptation is being developed as a cross-cultural collaboration between Afghan and American artists and will showcase the cooperative efforts of two playwright-poets, three co-composers, and, in its final iteration, as many as 16 international performers including three musicians. Part of Kennedy Center Page to Stage Festival.
