This is the DC-area premier of LATE: A COWBOY SONG by Sarah Ruhl. Mary, a young wife and mother, searches to understand who she is and where she fits in. She feels her time will run out before she gets those answers. Crick, her passive-aggressive, macho-effeminate husband, is fixated on their lives being picture-perfect. One day, Crick buys a painting with the last of their savings. Then, Mary delivers their baby. The mysteries of life become more confusing as the couple must decide on the baby’s name and the baby’s gender. Riding into Mary’s life is a female cowboy who helps Mary explore life outside the boundaries of convention. Previews on January 2 & 3 are $16; opening night on January 4 costs $51; Individual Tickets cost $31; Student Tickets cost $24.
