IN Series’ much-anticipated, animated, Spanish-language, Afro-LatinX reimagining of Puccini’s classic opera premieres on the big screen with LIVE MUSIC on October 29 in Baltimore and October 30 and 31 in Washington, DC. This film, created by young Baltimore animators and set in DC’s Columbia Heights neighborhood in the Winter and Spring of 2020, tells of the exuberant creative power of youth, the transcendence of love, and the heartbreak of first loss. Carlos Cesar Rodriguez virtuosically leads an all-star cast from the piano, with Gustavo Ahualli as Coline, Alex Alburqueque as Marcelo, Peter Burroughs as Benoit/Alcindoro, Carl DuPont* as Schaunard, Louis Riva as Rodolfo, Melissa Wimbish* as Museta, and Judy Yannini as Mimi.
