Patrick is a Theatre Artist based in Washington, DC. They have worked as a director, playwright, performer, designer, and independent researcher. They wear many hats, and consider their eclectic nature to be their greatest strength. They studied Theatre Arts at American University, and while studying, they began their research on Broadway cast recordings, which culminated in a research paper titled, “I Hear Singing and There’s No One There”. Patrick was invited to present this paper at The University of Sheffield in England in 2019. They were also invited to present the paper at the Song, Stage, and Screen conference in 2020, before the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Theatre history is essential to Patrick's philosophy as a director and a playwright. It is through their research that they first become familiar with their next project, Joan, premiering in spring 2023. Patrick will be the director and designer. Joan, a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Al Carmines, has not been produced in 48 years! Patrick is excited to breathe new life into this fascinating and unique piece.
