Katherine Leiden is a DC-based, non-equity actor. She triumphantly returned to the stage in 2023 after a 12-year acting hiatus as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice (Silver Spring Stage) - a performance described by Washington City Paper as "a marvel. (Local casting directors, please take note.)" Past theatre roles include Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten, Desdemona in Othello, and Pseudolus in Pseudolus. Leiden enjoys playing with the boundaries and fluidity of gender, as well as the depths of powerful women. She received her BA in English Literature, focused on Shakespeare and English Renaissance drama, from Penn State University.
