Kate (she/her/hers) is a DC based casting director, choreographer/director and arts administrator. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in just 3 1/2 years, Kate received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre performance. She is passionate about creating theatre (particularly movement/wordless theatre) in new and creative ways.
Kate has been freelance casting since her freshman year of college. She firmly believes that everyone should get a chance to see themselves onstage so she strives to make her projects as diverse as possible and is constantly looking for new ways to make casting, and theatre in general, more inclusive and accessible.
Additionally, Kate is passionate about theatre administration and education. She has interned at La Jolla Playhouse, Studio Theatre, Arts on the Horizon, The Theatre Lab and Virginia Repertory, with a focus on those subjects.
In her free time Kate can be found chilling with her cats, reading, traveling and finding the best local coffee shops.
