David C. Robbins is a musician and arts educator who lives in Richmond, Virginia. In 2023, he was the piano-conductor for "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" at Virginia Repertory Theater and "The Wizard of Oz" at Compass Rose Theater in Annapolis.  A graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory (B.M.) and New England Conservatory of Music (M.M.), David has been a frequent pianist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra for over ten years, principal pianist for the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, pianist and vocal coach for the Handel & Haydn Society, accompanist for Boston Ballet and Richmond Ballet, assistant director for Classical Revolution RVA, assistant music director at Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists, and keyboard player for various cover bands in Richmond including Full Moon Fever: A Tom Petty Tribute Band, Trunk Show, and Zep Replica: A Led Zeppelin Tribute Band.

From 2015-2019, David completed doctoral coursework for the Ph.D. in Art Education at Virginia Commonwealth University where he also served as a teaching assistant and the editorial assistant for the "Journal of Social Theory in Art Education." He has taught at UVA's Saturday & Summer Enrichment Program, Newton Public Schools, Greenspring International Academy of Music, Merry Melody Music Academy, Minds in Motion, S.P.A.R.C.'s Live Art, Norfolk's Academy of Music, and as a private studio teacher.
