Shakespeare Monologue Coaching with Nathan Whitmer (In Person)

Join us for a Shakespeare monologue coaching session with Nathan Whitmer. During this workshop, Nathan will work with each student to observe their performance and provide individualized feedback on how they can improve. He will then give them adjustments and coaching on how to best prepare their piece for an audition.

Please come with a Shakespeare piece to perform (it does not have to be memorized).

Nathan Whitmer is an actor (AEA), teaching artist, and acting coach. His DC stage credits include Arena Stage, Studio Theatre, Theatre J, and Washington Stage Guild. In his nearly 20 year acting career he has worked in Off Broadway in NYC and regionally around the country, notably as a member of Barter Theatre's resident acting company and Barter Players company. With Barter he acted in over 25 production and worked as a mentor and director. He has appeared in numerous local on-camera industrials and commercials and appeared on The Smithsonian Channel. A passionate teaching artist, Nathan has worked in the classroom with Shakespeare Theatre, The Theatre Lab, The Barter Players, Live Arts Charlottesville, Alaska Theatre for Youth, and others.
