"Lulu" Auditions

WAITRESS, the hit Broadway musical coming to the National Theatre from May 15 thru June 3, 2018, is looking for two young local girls to alternate in the role of “Lulu” during the show's D.C. engagement.

The character of “Lulu” is a sweet, carefree 4 to 5-year-old who appears in the production’s finale. Qualified young girls should be shorter than 4’2” and be no older than 5 years and 3 months. Individual applicants are welcome, as are sets of twins or siblings.

Auditions take place at the National Theatre on Monday, April 2. There are audition sessions at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm – with each session lasting approximately 1 hour.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents/guardians must sign up for an audition session in advance at http://thenationaldc.org/lulu-auditions. Space is strictly limited to the first 60 applicants to sign up – with a limit of 15 per session. No walk-ups will be accepted on April 2.
