Seven Guitars

Just released from jail, blues singer Floyd “Schoolboy” Barton is asked to sign a record deal after a song he recorded months before becomes an unexpected hit. After a year of trials and tribulations, Floyd is ready to right his past wrongs and return to Chicago with a new understanding of what’s important in life. Unfortunately, his means of righting wrongs are inherently flawed. Seven Guitars will be directed by Michele Shay, who was handpicked by August Wilson for the role of Louise in the Broadway production of Seven Guitars, for which she was nominated for the 1996 Tony Award as Best Actress. Seven Guitars is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
