Joe Brack has performed The Santaland Diaries for several years in Washington, DC, under the direction of Matty Griffiths. Each time, they approach this rich, true-life text with a fresh eye and new staging, and the 2012 show includes the talents of Foley artist Danny Cackley, who brings a live, on-stage sound design to the production. As always, the team taps into the audience’s vivid memories – from childhood or a day’s shopping trip – while the story wends its way deeper behind the scenes.
