Riot Grrrls' Titus Andronicus

Following all-female productions of Romeo and Juliet, Measure for Measure, Julius Caesar, and Much Ado About Nothing, the Riot Grrrls are back to prove that a great actress can play a great role, regardless if it's male or female. This season, the Grrrls take over Titus Andronicus, wresting the meaty roles in one of Shakespeare's most gruesome plays from the boys.

Upon returning from war with his remaining sons, Titus sacrifices the eldest son of his prisoner Tamora, the Queen of the Goths (and soon the Emperor's wife) to the Roman gods. This act of piety kicks off a merciless cycle of bloody, grisly violence as Titus, Tamora, and their families exact revenge on each other.
