Playwright Steven Dietz lays bare the subculture of hate that permeates American society at all levels. First performed in 1988, this docudrama explores the white supremacist movement in America through the trial of a paramilitary group accused of murdering a Jewish talk radio host.
This reading will benefit the work of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which works to track, expose and litigate against hate groups as part of its mission. There will be no charge for tickets, but audience members may bring a donation for the SPLC if they wish.
Following the reading, a representative of the SPLC will join us for a talk about the work, and ways to fight hate.
Please note that due to its subject matter, the script contains instances of offensive language.
