Open Circles, Open Doors

Organization
Kennedy Center/Open Circle Theatre

You are warmly invited for an afternoon of workshops designed to share skills and build a network of artists with disabilities and allies at the Kennedy Center. Come join us for workshops in improv, circus skills, photography, and dance followed by a panel discussing disability justice in the arts. As a Kennedy Center Culture Caucus Member, Open Circle Theatre is proud to be collaborating with Dance Exchange, ArtStream, Omnium Circus, Dance Place, Story Tapestries, and Greater Depth Media. Please join us on Saturday, March 26 at 2 PM at the REACH at the Kennedy Center. Register here: https://www.kennedy-center.org/whats-on/explore-by-genre/theater/2021-2…

Immerse yourself in basic circus skills including juggling, balance, plate spinning, and more with Omnium Circus. Create images that address our lived experience as people with disabilities and allies with Greater Depth Media and Story Tapestries. Explore improv with ArtStream where you will have fun thinking on your feet. Move with Dance Exchange and Open Circle Theatre who will invite and guide community members to create a dance together.

And round it all up in a panel discussion on the topic of disability justice in the arts hosted by Dance Place.

Participants can take part in all the workshops. There will be an adjacent room available for networking and breaks. These workshops are free, but registration is required as space is limited. Please see registration page for COVID protocols: https://www.kennedy-center.org/whats-on/explore-by-genre/theater/2021-2…
