Teresa Spencer, MFA (she/her/hers) makes actor-driven theatre. She is a classical actor, a devisor and writer of new work, and a vocal and movement coach for professional regional productions. Her focus is on ensemble creation and heightened form—from the performance of classical verse to the devising of physical theatre. She has appeared as a performer, coached dialects, or choreographed violence for over seventy-five regional and international productions. She is a Company Member with the theatre-dance-music collaborative Taffety Punk Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., and a Resident Artist with the multimedia arts company Walterhoope in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is an Assistant Professor of Acting at Towson University and lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
