Stevie Zimmerman

I've been directing in the DC area for almost 12 years, working with many companies and, most recently, became Resident Director for Helen Hayes Emerging Theater 2020 award winning company 4615 Theater Company. I have directed plays and musicals ranging from world premiere dramas to a Christmas musical for children, classics from centuries ago and the last few years. I am fascinated by the process of working with actors to build a world, and exploring texts and images as a team. I believe the director is not the boss but the conduit through which all creative components are channeled to create a cohesive, entertaining and thought provoking show.
