Laura Esti Miller is a dramaturg, writer, director, literary manager, and educator to students from preschool through college and beyond. She has taught at The Catholic University of America, George Mason University, Montgomery College, Northern Virginia Community College, and The University of Mary Washington, as well as in theatre programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

She was the literary manager at 1st Stage in Tysons, Virginia from 2015 to 2021, programming multiple award-winning productions. Some favorite dramaturgical efforts include working on the better part of fourteen seasons with Forum Theatre and five seasons with The Inkwell - a company created for new play development. Select collaborative pieces include a dance-theatre production adapted from Mark Twain’s Joan of Arc with interdisciplinary company Urban Garden Performing Arts, the devised The Trojan Women Project with Brave Sprits Theatre, and a folktale-inspired performance for young audiences created with a spoken word artist and choreographer. Laura is the former Creative Development Director of the off-Broadway company Electric Pear Productions, and has worked with regional and international leaders such as The Public Theater, The Kennedy Center, and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. She has a BA from James Madison University and an MFA from Brooklyn College.
