Hansel Ramirez, a bilingual actor and choreographer from Mexico City, has left a lasting impact on Hollywood and Mexican entertainment. With over 20 years of experience across film, TV, theater, and voiceover, Hansel’s breakout role as Mingo in La Mitad del Mundo earned him an Ariel Award nomination for Best Actor, placing him alongside icons like Javier Bardem and Demian Bichir. He also won Best Actor at the Iberoamerican Film Festival in Bolivia and serves as a member of AMACC and the Ariel, Oscar, and Goya Awards Candidate Selection Committees.

On TV, Hansel is known for roles in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (Showtime), 13 Reasons Why (Netflix), Niño Santo (Canal 11), Flipped (Funny or Die), and American Crime (ABC), where he performed the longest drama scene in Nahuatl on U.S. television.

His Theater credits include Downstate (Studio Theatre), Chicago the Musical (Centro Cultural Teatro 2), and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn (Foro Interlomas). He has also performed in adaptations of works by Gabriel García Márquez (Blacaman), Franz Kafka (The trial), and more.

As a sought-after voiceover artist, Hansel has brought his talent to diverse projects, including Whose Amazing Life (Amazon), Type S: Chiaki’s Journey (Acura), El Presidente (Amazon), and the film The Comeback Trail. Most notably, he dubbed Harrison Ford in 1923(Paramount+), a standout achievement in his career. His additional dubbing work includes the hit series 1883 and Yellowstone.

Beyond acting, Hansel is a seasoned choreographer and director, having managed his own dance studio in Mexico City from 2000 to 2015. His choreography blends Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin Dance, and Fosse Style, and has been featured in media and corporate events for high-profile clients such as Nestlé, AT&T, VW, and Televisa. He also founded Pole Project Mexico, the first pole dance company in Latin America, fusing physical theater, dance, and acrobatics.
