Abby is a creative and passionate theatre artist and media professional with over eight years of experience effectively managing theatrical productions and leading in arts administration positions.
They serve as the Director of Marketing for LA-based social justice theatre company Fringe Benefits Theatre, where they manage the official YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook pages and develops and facilitates workshops with schools and community groups. They have been with the company for two years, starting as a volunteer, then completing the internship, and taking on employment in July 2021.
They are also currently in post-production for their first original full-length film created in partnership with Fringe Benefits, What’s Wrong With Feminism?, an intersectional look at gender inequity and sexism in America from the 1960’s until modern day. They have contributed as screenwriter, producer, director, cinematographer, and editor, and anticipate a premiere in mid-to-late 2023. One of their favorite scenes, “Super Feminist”, is available to preview now!
Since graduating from the University of Redlands c/o 2021 with a double B.A. in Theatre Arts and Media & Visual Culture Studies, Abby has relocated to Washington D.C., and looks forward to continuing to pursue the theatre arts and writing as they discover the DMV arts scene.
