Abby is an accomplished playwright and theatre artist. They have had their plays featured in Avant Bard's 10th Annual Scripts in Play Festival, Rorschach Theatre's Klecksography project, the Gi60 Houston One Minute Play Festival, the Santa Cruz Actor’s Theatre’s 8 Tens @ 8, and the Bechdel Group’s Sunday Shortlist.
In addition to playwriting, Abby has also taught, stage managed, produced and performed. They currently serve DC Public Schools as a teacher, and have previously taught at Round House Theatre, CASA at Sheridan School and Fringe Benefits Theatre. In July 2025, Abby self-produced a staged reading of their play "Overcoming Orion" and sold out the DC Arts Center. In 2023 they stage managed with Perisphere Theatre and in 2022 they participated in the first-ever Queer Stories devised performance at the Theatre Lab.
