The Rainbow Theatre Project, Washington, D.C.'s premier theater for the LGBTQ community, presents a tribute to pioneering gay performance artist and writer Tim Miller. In 1993, Miller and three other artists sued the National Endowment for the Arts and won after the organization withheld their grant money because of the "controversial" nature of their work, which included depictions of gay lifestyles. In this performance at Bier Baron, Local actor Paul Alan takes to the stage for a concert reading of Miller's seminal work, the sharp-witted and heartbreaking one-man show My Queer Body.
